LOL! I did put everything in alpha order to make it easier to find shop names. Don't know why they scrambled them all up on the maps though...

Thank you. Just trying to help out the community that was so helpful to me when I first moved here. I will take a virtual drink for now and raincheck for the other one.

ACT Marine has been open for about 4 days, due to passers by enquiring when they'll be opening, and wanting to come in even though they weren't finished.
It is a work in progress, and will be continuously improving.
Shop Timings are 10am - 9pm, 7 days a week

Foxes - on ground floor level, opposite the car-park entrance to the Sheraton - it's got the seating outside so you can't miss it - opens at 7am if you're like me & need the fix early!!

Hi Everyone!

On the topic of the Walk, which is slowly taking shape: have you noticed that there isn't a single supermarket in any of the complexes? I think Dubai Properties should have ensured that there was a small supermarket - a Spinney's, say, in every complex. It would be useful to everyone and provide a hub for each community. I wonder, with so much retail space left untaken, DP could be persuaded to think about this again. What do you think?

Best wishes,

Caz

I agree with you Caz, we are in Shams and I don't feel like walking from here to Deals (Oasis) in this heat  . There is a tiny shop across the bridge (Fourways) but its just a "oh my I've run out of milk" kind of store. A small Spinneys is up near Murjan, in the Marina but again......toooooo far to walk to and parking is a nightmare there! With the amount of people living in this area I hope that someone has got a better plan for services.
If we were to wake up some morning and find that everyone was the same race, creed and color, we would find some other cause for prejudice by noon.
